“Sergei have new toy! Training is going to be a lot more fun.” — Sergei, The Secret Life of Pets 2
Sergei is the main antagonist of The Secret Life of Pets 2. He is the cold-blooded and quick-tempered owner of Happy Sergei's Circus of Fun, the owner of Little Sergei and the Circus Wolves, and Hu's former owner.
Appearance[]
Sergei wears a black hat, a black coat with black fur, and some black shoes.
Personality[]
Sergei is a circus owner who is evil, sadistic, cruel, angry, short-tempered, and loud. He threatens and torments animals out of greed. Despite his actions, he is shown to care for his pet monkey, Little Sergei; as he's shown to never abuse him and he follows his orders.
History[]
Sergei caught Hu and he owns Happy Sergei's Circus of Fun and was used to have an entire night. He uses a whip to drop Hu into the pool. He was built by trains when they have a job to do.
Plot[]
He is seen at the flashback at the airport waiting for two men to finish loading Hu into his van in the first place. He is seen next cracking a whip to make Hu jump into the water tub, but Hu resists. After that he locks Hu in his cage and says, "We will try again tomorrow." He commands his wolves to look out for Hu. The next morning he is enraged that Hu escaped. He orders his wolves to find Hu.
Sergei and his wolves track Daisy down and capture both Hu and Daisy. Sergei escapes in his train moving for the circus in which Snowball, Max, and Norman pursue while contacting Gidget for assistance in the chase.
The rest of the animals join in and attack Sergei. Sergei's conductor then stops the train and Hu and the others plan are about to return to New York but Sergei stops Hu from escaping by restraining him with his chain collar/leash and is just about to shoot them all until he is hit by the Cat Lady, knocking him out. Afterwards, he possibly was fired from show business and arrested for his crimes.
Trivia[]
- In the Russian version of the movie, Sergei was changed to Serge, and his nationality is French.
- Sergei is the first true villain of the main franchise.
