Derick is a large crocodile and minor character in The Secret Life of Pets. He is a member of the Flushed Pets.
He is voiced by Jim Cummings.
Appearance[]
Derick is a tall green-skinned crocodile with a long nose, yellows eyes with slits, a tan-colored underbelly, pointy teeth with eighteen of them are being pointed downward while two of them are being pointed upward. He also has whisker-like hairs on the top of his head. He additionally has spikes tapering on his back and even on his long sloped tail.
History[]
Derick was "flushed" by his owner when he got too big.
Plot[]
After Snowball notices Gidget, the Flushed Pets almost catch her, Pops and his neighbors, but they have escaped. Snowball was unhappy about their escape until Norman, who thinks he escapes successfully, appears from a pipe, so Derick catches him immediately. Derick thinks that Max wants to hurt Snowball at the Brooklyn Bridge, so he attacks with his fellow gang members. However, they are thwarted by Gidget before they can attack him.
Molly wanted to adopt him along with some other the Flushed Pets members, but all but Snowball escape in the sewers before she can reach them.
Trivia[]
- Due to promotional reasons, some people incorrectly spell out Derick's name as "Derrick".
