Daisy is a tricolor Shih Tzu and one of the main characters in The Secret Life of Pets 2. She enlists the help of Captain Snowball to save an abused tiger named Hu from the evil circus owner Sergei.
She is voiced by Tiffany Haddish.
Appearance[]
Daisy is a small tricolor Shih Tzu with light and dark brown hair and white markings. She has a small stocky body, floppy ears, a short muzzle, curly tail, and large brown eyes. She wears a flower-shaped accessory tying her hair into a topknot, a common hairstyle for her breed.
Daisy sports two different hair accessories throughout the movie, both in a similar flower shape. The first accessory that is shown is a yellow flower with a red-orange pistil, which looks to be made up of different sized beads. After Daisy loses the flower part at the circus during her run-in with Sergei's wolves, only the elastic band is left behind in her hair. When she's at the park, she is shown wearing a new accessory for the remainder of the movie. The flower was made using red-orange fabric in a yellow polka dot pattern, with a green two-hole button as its pistil and a matching green elastic band.
Personality[]
Daisy is sassy, brave, and kind-hearted. She will go up against any villain - big or small - to protect her friends and those in need. She is also agile and a quick-thinker, as seen when she steals the keys to Hu's cage, managing to not only dodge all of the wolves' attacks who are guarding him but also tangle them up, rendering them powerless. She also thwarts a lone wolf chasing Snowball by locking it in a circus ride using a control panel, allowing them all to escape. At Central Park, the same wolves track her down, but luckily she gets away by hiding and catching a ride on the back of someone's scooter. Later, she helps Snowball defeat Little Sergei, kicking him into a canon which blasts him off of the moving train.
Daisy also has a bold and flirtatious side, and is obvious with her attraction to Captain Snowball when she first sees him, though funnily enough she didn't show the same interest when she met Snowball sans costume mere moments before. In an Xfinity commercial, she runs excitedly to the TV after her owner leaves, and puts on a video with a handsome German Shepard posing next to a pool.
Plot[]
Daisy shows up at Snowball's apartment in dire need of help. She explains that she needs the superhero "Captain Snowball" (Snowball's daring persona) to assist her in rescuing a white tiger named Hu. While on a flight back to the city, Daisy had witnessed the defenseless tiger being held captive by his abusive owner.
Daisy and Snowball track Hu to the circus where he's being kept and sneak inside. They manage to free him and outmaneuver the vicious wolves standing guard by his cage. In the heat of the chase, Daisy accidentally drops her flower clip, which the wolves later use to locate her.
She and Captain Snowball take Hu to Pops' apartment, who reluctantly lets Hu stay there. However, when Hu unintentionally destroys the apartment, Daisy and Captain Snowball are forced to move him to Max and Duke's since the family is out of town.
Daisy is tracked down by the wolves while at the park and is almost caught, but with luck she manages to trick the wolves and escape. Max's family eventually returns from their trip, and he finds Daisy, Snowball, and Hu, though not before Sergei and his wolves track down Daisy again. Daisy and Snowball attempt to hide Hu while Max tries to stop the wolves, but their efforts are futile. Sergei captures Hu and Daisy, then escapes to a train heading out of town with the rest of his circus. Captain Snowball, Max, and Norman chase after the train and contact Gidget for help.
Captain Snowball and Max infiltrate the train and locate Daisy and Hu. Daisy has been tied up and stuffed into a cannon while Hu is with Sergei at the front of the train. Max goes after Sergei, and Snowball defeats Sergei's pet monkey with Daisy's help. She kicks the monkey into a lit cannon and Snowball aims it toward the sky. The monkey is blasted into the air and lands, dazed but alive.
Daisy and Snowball arrive at the head of the train and help Max defeat Sergei. The train comes to a halt and Sergei is thrown off of it. Daisy, Max, and Snowball try to escape with Hu, but Sergei pulls Hu's chain and stops their escape. He threatens the animals with a gun, but he is hit by Cat Lady's car, assisted by Gidget and her army of cats. The elderly lady offers the pets a ride back home and they all return to the city.

- Daisy was originally going to be named Sonya.
- Like most of the other pets, Daisy also has Xfinity cable.
- Daisy's owner is never mentioned by name, but she is shown with Daisy as they exit the airport.
- Daisy justifies Hu not speaking by claiming “I don’t speak wild animal.” She was lying though, because she can understand the wolves. Wolves are not domesticated animals.
